A WARM WELCOME TO FATHER SHINOJ!!

We are delighted to announce that we will be supported in the Parish by Father Shinoj who has started this week. He will be working with Father Antony as well as travelling to other Parishes within the area. I know that you will make him feel very welcome and get used to seeing him at Mass and other events in the coming weeks.

ONLINE PRAYER GROUP

An online prayer group has been set up that meets fortnightly to read through scripture from the New Testament and then discuss the meaning and impact in today’s world. It’s a small group from Parishes across Sutton Deanery and the next meeting is being held over Zoom on Tuesday 14th May. There is also a WhatsApp group for interested parties. If you would like to take part or want further information please contact the Parish Office on cheam@rcaos.org.uk or call 020 3649 5994.

EXAMS

As we approach exam time we remember in our thoughts and prayers everyone sitting GCSEs, A Levels, University Exams, SATS and other assessments. We know this is a challenging time for students and their families. Please think about taking some time to disconnect from the preparations and study by coming to Mass and praying for yourself and others.

Prayer for exam time:

Lord, be with me as I begin my exams, help me to think clearly, to be calm and to express my answers accurately. Help me realise that you are with me throughout my life and with your Spririt to guide me so I may reach my full potential. Amen.

PARISH LEADS—AN OPORTUNITY TO SERVE YOUR PARISH

Parish Leads will be key members of their parish community who have accepted their Parish Priest’s request to be a principal point of contact in their parish for either Evangelisation (proclaiming Christ and his gospel by word and example), Catechesis (handing on the faith to children and young people) or Adult Formation (supporting continuing growth and development in the faith).  Information about the role of Parish Leads is available from the Sacristy, and to find out more about ‘Some Definite Service’, the Archbishop’s vision to develop and grow as a missionary archdiocese, please visit https://aec.rcaos.org.uk/sds
